A sealed, sturdy and compact 50 gallon cold water storage tank for use in a typical family house

This cold water storage tank is a sealed unit to prevent debris and bugs from contaminating the stored water

The cold water storage tank consists of a sturdy plastic tank which typically stores water from the incoming mains supply, for use in bathrooms. It can also supply a vented hot water cylinder

The pipework from the incoming mains supply is connected to a part 2 ball valve located near the top of the tank

As water is drawn off through either the taps or the hot water cylinder, the ball valve opens to allow more water in and refill the cold water storage tank at which point it then closes again

On the opposite side of the cold water storage tank is an overflow pipe which safely takes water away in the event of a ball valve failure
